IAPT Research Grants Program in Plant Systematics

Awarded grants 2013

The IAPT takes great pleasure in announcing results of the IAPT Research Improvement Grants for Plant Systematics Call for 2013. The Committee members who made the evaluation and selection for 2013 are: Gonzalo Nieto Feliner (Spain, Chair), Ana M. Crespo de Las Casas, (Spain), Siro Masinde (Kenya), Alexander Sennikov (Finland), Xian-Chun Zhang (China), Fernando Zuloaga (Argentina). The Committee wants to state that the selection has been very difficult due to the quality of a substantial number of the 65 applications. This year an eleventh Grant has been possible thanks to the Dan Nicolson Fund and is presented here for the first time as Dan Nicolson IAPT Award. The awardees (who will also be given IAPT membership for the year and will be contacted by the IAPT secretariat during the next few days), countries of origin and topics of their research projects are as follows:
