Description

TAXON is the journal of the International Association for Plant Taxonomy (IAPT) devoted to plant taxonomy, phylogeny and evolution. The principal aims of the Association are to understand and conserve plant diversity, further conceptual advances in plant systematics, aid practical and innovative approaches to naming of plants, help in educating future generations of professional plant systematists, and inform the general public about the importance of plants and their inter-relationships. TAXON is the only international journal that deals with all these critical dimensions as well as covering systematics of all plant groups from algae through flowering plants.
